The name of the place may drive people away. Seri na (tele-serye), fantasy pa! Kinda baduy, right? But I’m curious, ok I’m baduy too (maybe the latter more than the former). So I decided to buy the group buy coupon (it's always in a group buy site). And guess what, the kids and I had fun!
The Fantasy World, located inside the Manila Ocean Park in Roxas Boulevard, is composed of three main areas, namely Trick Art Museum, Mirror Maze and 3-D Cinema Plus. The Trick Art Museum has around 22 3D optical illusion art posters plastered on the wall or floor. It puts the kids creativity to work as they think of ways to pose on camera to create an interesting realistic effect on photo. My kids had fun figuring out the best and funniest pose.
The Mirror Maze is an area full of mirrors and you have to figure your way out. It's not that easy with the reflections and all. Kids can get very excited so you have to continuously remind them to walk, not run, and keep their arms stretched out to make sure they don't bump onto a mirror wall. There will be a staff who will assist the group to ensure safety and also to help identify photo ops that was fun for the kids. The kids loved the illusion of floating on the air!
The 3D Cinema Plus is just your normal cinema, less the comfy chair, featuring a 10-15 minute 3D movie. The only difference is that there is a staff explaining how 3D works before the movie begins, which was quite interesting for everyone. You can skip this because the movie is not too nice. But if it is part of your package - watch Reilly the Bird.
It also has Kids Paradise and Bear Museum but we didn't go there anymore because, uhmm, the place is not squeaky clean. You have to go in early so you don't go with school group tours. We were lucky because we were able to have the areas to ourselves. Just before we were leaving, a huge group of preschoolers with their parents and helpers, swarmed the place.
How many hours do you allot for all 3? 2 hours is already long. Oh, plus the staff are all friendly and helpful.
Overall, it was a fun and different experience for the kids.
