Much Ado about Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter

Trader Joe's Cookie Butter

I just had to try it.  It's all over in FB and some friends are raving about it.  When I had a small taste of it at a friend's house, maybe I was quite hungry it tasted sooo good.

My friend said to try the website of Joe and Cherry's but the orders are already for July delivery!  Blue Kitchen in Shang Mall and Rockwell has it so I had one reserved.  Take note,  one day reservation only.   Culture Map Dallas reported the shortage of Trader Joe's. OA!

So when I got my P450 cookie butter jar,  I excitedly spread the goodness on the bread and sadly, the taste came flat from all the hype.  It tasted a little bit like peanut butter with a hint of cinnamon, which I guess was the taste of the gingerbread.  I would still go for plain peanut butter.  Try the creamy peanut butter of Lady's Choice or Lily's peanut butter if you want it sweeter and oil-laden but yummilicious.

My yummy discovery now is the Nestle French Salted Caramel (P199/tub).  It has the right mix of caramel with a tinge of saltiness, a teeny weeny bit on the caramel side, but the creaminess compensated for it.  It has been out of stock for 2 weeks now so when I saw the last 4 tubs in Shopwise, Libis I grabbed 2 and shared the secret with a co-shopper who got the last 2!

A few days later, Nestle gifted me with a pack of Nestle Kimy Playstix which my daughter is collecting and making the sticks into all sorts of things.  I initially thought Kimy is a Popsicle and was surprised to try it and find creamy ice cream in Popsicle format:-)

Hi Lilian! You should try Sugar Lick’s Nutty Salty Caramel. A 2-pint tub is P300 but worth it. They also sell scoopfuls in a cup or cone (I forgot how much it is). They have a small pwesto outside Robinson’s Supermarket in Eastwood and inside Cha Dao along Rosa Alvero St. (near McDo Ateneo and Shakey’s Katipunan.
