The Crocs Mega Sale is definitely for the patient. I once again confirmed I am not one as I sighed, heaved and grunted as I braved the kilometric lines at the entrance and payment area.
I arrived at the sale 11am thinking it is an exclusive Citibank sale anyway. But lo and behold – the line outside the NBC tent snaked endlessly for a waiting time of 2.5-3 hours just to get in (according to my line mate at the cashier – they came in at 10am and was able to enter at 12:30pm). As for me, I was lucky enough to get in through VIP line but still had to wait it out for 45 minutes. The waiting time to pay is also a solid 3 hours!
If you really want to get in minus the queue, have someone stand in the line for you. That is, if you are brave enough to endure the dagger looks and nasty (hehe a little bit justified though) comments of the 1000 people you are passing through.

Queue to pay is 3 hours! No food inside so eat first. Food booths are at the waiting tent. You have a stamp so you can get back in without lining up. But again the dagger looks ...
Inside the tent, the boxes of crocs are segregated between children’s, women’s and men’s. I just went there for my kids who are aged 7 and 9 and it was a little bit hard to find sizes for them (except the sta.cruz style (like sanuk) – there were many). There are a lot of choices and nice styles for toddlers (clogs, shark, dora, mcqueen, spongebob, mary janes).

Crocs are sectioned up. Prices are on leaflets given out at entrance and on the big tarp. Fortunately airconditioning and music is good.
I initially wanted to buy just 2 pairs – one for each child but the lines don’t justify buying just that so I ended up buying more – hehe wala ring natipid! I got the crocs baya (like original crocs but no band) at P 735 (original price – P1,475). The biggest size available for that is J2. Colors are black, navy blue and pink.
The newer 2-toned models (style electro) fetch a tag of P1,295 (original price – P 1,850). My son is J3 and my daughter is J2 and it was a challenge finding their sizes so once you find a pair – hold on to it dearly. Colors are red on black, green on blue and pink on brown. What would have been a steal for my kids are the mickey crocs – from P1,850 to 555.
As for the adult section, the lowest priced shoe (90% discount as advertised) is P49. I would have put an exclamation point if it was such a great deal but it’s a high heeled crocs – I need not say further. In fairness most of the crocs are discounted 50% or higher with only the newer models at 30%. And they have a good number of stocks and models available. So if you are a big crocs fan like some of the people there it might just be well worth your time and effort. Happy waiting oops sorry shopping!
