As per PagAsa,  typhoon "LABUYO" will hit Luzon and cut across the provinces of Aurora, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet and La Union beginning Monday morning until the early afternoon.  The typhoon brings in winds of up to 200 kph and an expected heavy rain fall.

The following cities have already declared suspension of classes for August 12, 2013, Monday.

Classes are suspended in:

  • MANILA: Private and public elementary schools - Mayor Estrada
  • MADALUYONG:  Elementary & High School, Public & Private schools - Mayor Abalos
  • PATEROS: All levels (public & private schools) - Mayor Medina
  • MAKATI:  No classes elem and HS, public & private schools - Mayor Jun Binay
  • TAGAYTAY: No classes pre-school--elementary, public and private - Tagaytay PIO
  • SAN JUAN: ALL LEVELS (pre-school to College), public at private schools - Mayor Gomez
  • CALOOCAN: *updated* ELEMENTARY to HIGHSCHOOL, private and public schools - Mayor Oscar Malapitan
  • MALABON: Private and public elementary schools - PIO chief Bong Padua
  • MARIKINA: Public and private elementary schools - Mayor Del De Guzman
  • LAS PINAS: Elementary & High School, public and private schools - Mayor Aguilar via Jimmy Castillano, PIO Chief
  • SAN MATEO, RIZAL:  No classes in all levels public and private on August 12,2013
  • ANGELES, PAMPANGA: Pre-school to HS (private & public)-Mayor Ed Pamintuan

As of 8:37 pm update in Channel 5's Interaksyon website, the following provinces are placed in the following storm signals:

Signal No. 3: Aurora, Nueva Viscaya, Mt. Province, Polilio Island, Quirino, Benguet, Ifugao, Nueva Ecija, and Isabela.

Signal No. 2: Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Rizal, northern Quezon, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga and Cagayan.

Signal No. 1: Albay, Sorsogon, the rest of Quezon, Laguna, the Calayan and Babuyan islands, Ilocos Norte, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas and Metro Manila.
