Contemporary Toddler Song: Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head

Kids playing in the rain

It's been raining for days now and I tried to perk up the day by introducing my 2 year old to the well loved classic - Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head.

I showed him the Youtube Video and he loved it!  Napakasayang kanta (such a happy song)!  We have temporarily put the "Rain, Rain Go Away" song in favor of this.  Happily doing a duet of the entire refrain at the first sign of a raindrop,  makes these rainy days warmer and cozier.

Here is the best YouTube video I can find to share with the kiddos.

Song Fact:  According to Wikipedia,  it is BJ Thomas's #1 song and it was written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach for the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Lyrics Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head (courtesy of Elyrics)

Raindrops keep falling on my head
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those raindrops are falling on my head, they keep falling

So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he' got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those raindrops are falling on my, head they keep falling

But there's one thing I know
The blues he sends to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Raindrops keep falling on my head
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red
Crying's not for me
Cause I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
Because I'm free
Nothing's worrying me.

Embracing the Rain,
